Route
Day 1
You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning and the journey continues via Mombasa towards Nairobi to the entrance gate of the first national park.
After a rest, the Tsavo East adventure begins! Red earth, natural paths, bush savannah and the first wild animals give the impression of wild Africa.
The first game drive gives you the real safari feeling! You will have lunch at the Ashnil Aruba Lodge. This is where you settle in and take your midday rest during the hottest time of the day.
After tea time there is a second big tour through the national park. You will explore the beauty of nature and its wildlife by jeep until dusk and end the evening full of good impressions with dinner in your classic lodge.
Day 2
We go on an early morning stalk, as the early hour is the active time of the big cats. We return for breakfast, check out and our route leads 52 km to the next destination, the Tsavo West National Park.
The park is also very scenic; dense vegetation and green hills characterize the picture. Wild animals find plenty of hiding places, so every game drive becomes a surprise tour and you need a little bit of safari luck.
Until midday you cruise across the park in search of photo opportunities. Afterwards, check in at the Severin Safari Camp, enjoy a tasty lunch and relax a bit in the beautiful complex.
After afternoon tea, the next game viewing trip starts to the Mzima Springs lake with hippos and crocodiles in a beautiful natural idyll.
You are sure to encounter animals in the wild along the way, just keep an eye out! A great animal encounter can happen at any time!
At dusk the path leads back to the camp, you refresh yourself, enjoy an excellent dinner and end the eventful day relaxing under the canopy of stars.
African nights in nature are magical!
Day 3
We set off after breakfast and drive the approximately 94 kilometer route to Amboseli National Park. This drive takes you through the Chyulu Hills and Masailand. If you wish, you can make a short stop at the Sheitani lava field.
The Amboseli National Park presents a completely different landscape: huge herds of elephants with their offspring leisurely move through the flat, wide plains. Enjoy the land at the foot of Kilimanjaro and feel the magic!
You will go on an exciting game viewing drive until lunchtime and then check into your accommodation, Ol Tukai Lodge.
Here you can spend your lunch break with lunch, a refreshment in the pool and simply feel good!
The afternoon game drive takes you in front of the backdrop of the most popular photo motif, Mount Kilimanjaro!
In the evening we return to the lodge and spend another evening in an atmospheric atmosphere with dinner and candlelight.
Day 4
Today we head 220 km further to Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley.
Water birds of all kinds find their paradise here. Pelicans, herons, spotted eagles, geese and ducks populate the lake.
You can book a boat tour, admire the beautiful scenery on the water and sail among groups of hippos. A very special experience!
Wildebeests and impalas graze on the banks. Private wildlife corridors allow wildlife to come to the lake to drink in the dry season.
Day 5
After a good breakfast, you will drive to the world-famous Maasai Mara, Kenya's best-known and most visited nature reserve. The 1.540 km² nature reserve forms a shared ecosystem with the Serengeti in Tanzania. The annual seasonal migration of an estimated 2 million ungulates, especially wildebeests, gazelles and zebras, fascinates every visitor.
The Maasai Mara contains different natural habitats for the native fauna: the vast plains covered with tall red grass and scattered acacias, rolling hills covered with short grass, rocky inselbergs, small forest areas, extensive marshlands, wetlands and of course the mighty Mara River with its riparian forests.
Game drives in the Mara are carried out with vehicles and local drivers from the camp!
You will arrive at your tent camp for lunch. After the lunch break, you set off on an extensive game drive until dusk.
In the evening, listen to the sounds of the African night around the campfire in front of the restaurant and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere with a drink and conversation about the day's experiences in the Maasai Mara. The African wilderness is very close here!
Day 6
Game drives in the Maasai Mara
This entire day is available for extensive game drives in the natural paradise. You will experience incredible animal encounters and get beautiful photo opportunities up close in front of the camera lens. All the animals in Africa seem to meet here!
Return to camp for lunch and an evening dinner in the wilderness.
Day 7
On the last day of the safari, after a hearty breakfast in the camp, we set off for Nairobi. You fly from Nairobi back to Mombasa, where we will be waiting for you and take you to your accommodation on the coast.
You can optionally book a return flight directly Masai Mara – Ukunda (surcharge €360 per person)

Everything was superbly organized, and Ali was an incredibly interesting safari guide who told us all about the animals and the country. He also has a sixth sense for the best locations and even spotted lion cubs for us!Posted on anonymous anonymousTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had an unforgettable dream trip to Kenya. The trip was planned by Manuela Zwenger, who provided us with excellent and thorough advice. She was always available and responded quickly and professionally to all our requests. We would plan and book another trip with her without hesitation. She also successfully arranged for us to have a German-speaking driver. Our driver was Katana, and he was an extremely important part of our trip. Katana picked us (a group of four) up directly at Mombasa airport and accompanied us throughout the entire journey. Our first destination was the Soroi Cheetah Lodge, where we stayed for three nights. It's a fantastic lodge with wonderful game drives. We don't know how Katana always spots the animals so easily, but we saw an incredible number of them, and he was able to provide us with a wealth of information about them. He also approached the animals with great respect. We witnessed situations where other vehicles drove into the bush to chase a cheetah. In our opinion, this is unacceptable and is probably also prohibited. Katana was completely different. We also saw many animals, but always respected them. The next lodge was the Tulia Amboseli Safari Camp. It's within sight of Kilimanjaro and has its own unique landscape. The proximity to Kilimanjaro is certainly one of the highlights. After two nights, we continued on to the Severin Safari Camp in Tsavo West. Another truly beautiful camp, with its own waterholes for the animals and, just like the Cheetah Lodge, excellent cuisine. The wildlife was once again incredibly diverse. After another two nights, we returned to Mombasa. Since we still had some time, Katana drove us around Mombasa and showed us a bit of the city before we headed back to the airport. All in all, it was a five-star-plus vacation for us. Manuela's planning was perfect (Chat GPD called it an outstandingly organized trip), and Katana's tour leadership left nothing to be desired. The Cheetah and Severin lodges were outstanding for us, and the view of Kilimanjaro from Tulia Lodge was particularly impressive. We highly recommend DAN Magical Tours and Manuela for planning and booking.Posted on Hendrik LauTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. An absolutely fantastic safari. Top-notch. Thank you!Posted on The DuchisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had four incredible days! Pictures speak louder than words. THANK YOU Katana, thank you DAN Tours. We'll be back!Posted on Sven KampfertTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had two unforgettable days. We booked the safari with DAN Magical Tours from Germany and paid in advance. A German- and English-speaking guide drove us, shared many fascinating details about Kenya, and accompanied us safely and reliably. He made a very experienced impression on us – we were able to see many animals, sometimes even "before the others," because he somehow sensed where the animals were or which path they would take. We were also able to individually choose what we wanted to do. Fantastic! This allowed us to cater to the needs of our two children (8 & 10). DAN Magical also did a superb job organizing all the food and drinks. Thank you, we are happy to recommend you!Posted on Sonya STrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a fantastic and unforgettable two-day trip to Tsavo East National Park. The online booking via email, telephone consultation, and payment method were all very professional and efficient. The tour with our driver, Ismael, was a dream. He was picked up perfectly on time, explained everything clearly, and is a superb driver. He spotted many animals for us and truly went the extra mile, sharing fascinating facts about them. The highlight was seeing a lion family up close at sunrise! An unforgettable moment! We highly recommend DAN Magical Tours and thank them for the two wonderful days.Posted on Marco BoschTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I did a lot of research and comparisons beforehand. However, the communication with Manuela was so pleasant that we decided on DM Tours. And we weren't disappointed with the 4-day safari (Tsavo West/East and Amboseli), quite the opposite. James, our guide, was incredibly nice and friendly, had a great sense of humor, and shared lots of interesting information. We were feeling a bit unwell beforehand, but Manuela and Effie (in the local office) helped us get activated charcoal tablets. A definite recommendation!Posted on Lisa StummerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We took a three-day safari tour with DM Tours and were absolutely thrilled. Our guide, Catana, accompanied us throughout the entire trip through Tsavo East, Tsavo West, and Amboseli National Parks and provided excellent service. Thanks to his experience, knowledge, and friendly manner, the safari became an unforgettable experience. We saw an incredible number of animals and thoroughly enjoyed every moment – it was an indescribably beautiful trip with amazing experiences. What was especially wonderful was how much laughter and fun we had – the atmosphere was simply fantastic. A very special thank you goes to Catana – we wish him all the best and highly recommend him as a guide. We would also like to sincerely thank DM Tours for the lovely surprise with the sparkling wine 🍾 – a very thoughtful gesture! We would travel with DM Tours again in a heartbeat and wholeheartedly recommend this safari.Posted on Alexandra EbTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Absolutely recommend!!! We just got back from our 4-day safari tour, which was simply more than perfect! 🤩 We will cherish these experiences forever! ❤️ My special thanks go to James! Thanks to him, this trip was truly an unforgettable experience! We were able to ask him all our questions and learned so much about the animals and nature, as well as the people and life in Kenya! ❤️ We are so grateful for the many conversations, the amazing moments, and this wonderful experience! And if we hadn't had James and his eagle eyes and intuition, we probably would have missed out on quite a few incredible animals. This definitely won't be our last safari with DM Tours and with James 😊Posted on Manuela MerseburgTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We were on Chale Island, a beautiful place for our silver wedding anniversary. However, the most magical moments were on our safari. The lion's roar under our stilt house and the trumpeting bull elephant on the road in Tsavo East will certainly remain unforgettable. Katana, with his knack for spotting the best safari moments, whether at sunrise or sunset, ensured we had the best views of the numerous elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, and lions. With his eagle eye, he spotted far more animals for us that we would never have seen otherwise. It was the best three days of our lives. Many thanks to Katana from Manu & Howy
