Mara Elatia Camp

The exclusive Mara Elatia Camp is located on the Oloololo escarpment in a private reserve adjacent to the famous Mara Triangle game reserve.
Protecting the habitat is of utmost importance and provides a safe zone for endangered wildlife. The view of the vast Mara plains with the Mara River is referred to as “a view through God's window”. In the distance you can see one of the three “Kalema Hills” where the film “Out of Africa” was filmed.

The camp has six double and six twin en-suite tents as well as two family tents, all elegantly furnished with their own balcony. The camp offers a classic safari feeling, which is rounded off by the friendly staff.

Even a private rhino sanctuary is part of this property!

Day 1

We will pick you up at your hotel/cottage early in the morning and drive you to the airport in Diani. Now the adventure begins, you fly directly to the Maasai Mara.

Your driver will be waiting for you at the runway, greeting you in a friendly manner and stowing away your luggage. On the way to camp you will make your first animal observations in this wildlife-rich ecosystem. Wonderful!

Game drives are carried out with vehicles and local drivers from the camp!

You check in, enjoy an excellent lunch and spend the lunch break at Mara Elatia Camp. This is followed by an afternoon game drive through the Private Conservancy of Elatia Camp, on which you visit the private rhino sanctuary. Greatest safari happiness in the realm of wild animals.

The evening in the camp with a first-class culinary dinner, sundowner drink, campfire and stories about the safari experiences complete the successful mix of luxury and pure nature!

Today you will spend the whole day on extensive game viewing drives in the Mara Triangle, mornings and afternoons hunting for the Big Five, migration or all the wildlife native to this area.

The camp's local drivers will be happy to introduce you to the wildlife, landscapes, people and history of the Mara ecosystem! Maybe you will experience the unique experience of the Great Migration? Game drives in this wilderness offer many surprising animal encounters and spectacular natural spectacles.

You will return to your camp for lunch or, if you wish, you can have a picnic along the way.

The very eventful day ends in a relaxed manner with an exclusive dinner and the stylish ambience of a night in the Mara Elatia Camp.

After an extensive Frühstück your guide will take you back to the airstrip around 10:00.

The safari in the Maasai Mara was from December 04.12th. until December 07.12.2023th, XNUMX fantastic! Everything worked out perfectly. The Oloshaiki Camp is wonderful and has an idyllic location right on the river. You are looked after very attentively and the food tastes great. All game drives were great. My tour guide James was great. He knows the best places for unforgettable animal observations. A special highlight was the balloon ride. I can highly recommend this safari. I experienced pure holiday happiness. Thank you thank you thank you !!!

It's been a few years since we went on a safari with DM Tours, but nonetheless it was a very nice time, we felt very safe and in good hands from the first minute. The driver (ranger) was very friendly and was able to answer all of our questions. On the evening of the safari tour there was a bottle of champagne on a mountain with the backdrop of Kilimanjaro 🥂 at sunset there were tears in our eyes 🌞🥲 It was an unforgettable time. We will book a safari with DM Tours again next year. We're already looking forward to it.

I had the pleasure of being able to drive the elephant tour through Tsavo East, Tsavo West, Amboseli, Naiwasha and Maasai Mara for 7 days in November. It was a 4-seater jeep with the possibility of opening the roof, a very nice and German-speaking guide (Katana), 3 very great "passengers" and a lot of wonderful moments 😀 I am still totally inspired and can recommend it without exception. The contact with the office (Nadine and Aaron) was also great and I always felt well supported and looked after. In any case, I'll repeat the tour a few more times in the next few years 😀 You can't put the impressions into words or photos, you have to experience them... Thank you very much for this wonderful time and the unforgettable moments!!

We (3 adults) did a two-day safari - Tsavo East / Ashnil Aruba Lodge - in December 2023. Dreams become reality here. Our guide James was able to talk to us in German and English. He introduced us to the wildlife and answered many more questions about Kenya. Our driver George always took us safely to the best places so that we could observe giraffes, elephants, lions, zebras... up close and in peace. Thank you so much.

For us it was an unforgettable safari. Especially because of our driver Peterson. The bosses Aaron and Nicole were very nice and even let us use their charcoal tablets. A mega tour with great support. We can only recommend it.

We had a wonderful safari with an overnight stay at Ashnil Lodge. Our driver George listened to our wishes and we were able to spend a lot of time on the game drive. 🤗 We even got a bottle of 🍾 sparkling wine 🥂 at sunset 🌇. It was a great experience. We would book there again. Aaron put together this tour for us according to our wishes. The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. We just needed less food and wanted to spend more time outside in the jeep. 😆 The Jeep is in very good condition - clean and well maintained. Only tours for 4 or 2 people are offered, which is very pleasant. There was enough drinking water in the jeep and fancy aluminum bottles that we were allowed to keep as souvenirs.

Four of us went on a safari with our guide for 2023 days in October 7. In this far too short week we visited the Tsavo East and West National Parks, Amboseli and the Masai Mara. Thousands of impressions have remained with us and continue to inspire us even weeks after the safari. The organization by the DM-Tours team was first-class. Starting with the punctual pick-up from the hotel by our super guide Katana, through to the lodges and the return transport by plane and private bus. Everything worked perfectly and left nothing to be desired! We were more than satisfied! The lodges Ashnil Aruba, Ol Tukai, Salewa as well as the server and Olosahki camp were simply top. They were very well maintained and clean, the staff was extremely friendly and the food was always very good. We always felt completely at home! The highlight was our guide Katana with his jeep. His driving skills on the "corrugated iron" pistes and cross-country routes are excellent and his ability to spot even the smallest wild animals parallel to the piste is incredible! His good German also made it a lot easier when explaining about the country, the people and the animals. In the 7 days and a good 2000km in the jeep, a little friendship developed! We really hope to be able to go on a tour with him again... Big compliments to Nadine, Aaron (Denis) and the whole team, who we had the opportunity to get to know in person: you're really doing a great job! Everything, even outside of the actual tour responsibility, runs courteously, smoothly and quickly - thank you very much for that too, you are absolutely recommended! Our vacation planning now includes Kenya again!! We look forward to seeing you again! Birgit and Matthias
We already corresponded with DM Tours & Safari before our vacation and booked a safari. Everything worked out great. We received brochures and a packing list in advance, which made our preparation a lot easier. During our safari the driver explained and showed us a lot. He had spotted animals from a long distance and was able to give us a lot of information about them. At sunset there was champagne to end the day, while lions slept next door. The next day we stalked the Taita Hills area and saw even more animal species. At the end of the safari, our driver offered to visit a Masai village. We accepted the offer and it ended up being an absolute highlight. We had an unforgettable safari. Thank you very much, we will remember you.
