Route
Day 1
Pick up in the morning from your accommodation. You start an interesting journey inland via either Mombasa or the Shimba Hills.
Shortly before entering the Tsavo West National Park, you will take a short break and then head into the realm of wild animals.
This national park is very scenic, dense vegetation and green hills characterize the picture. Wild animals find plenty of hiding places, so every game drive becomes a surprise tour and you need a little bit of safari luck.
Until lunchtime, you cruise through the park in search of photo opportunities and new memories. Afterwards, you check in at the Severin Safari Camp, enjoy a delicious lunch and relax a little in the beautiful grounds.
After afternoon tea, the next game viewing trip starts to the Mzima Springs lake with hippos and crocodiles in a beautiful natural idyll.
You are sure to encounter animals in the wild along the way, just keep an eye out! A great animal encounter can happen at any time!
At dusk the path leads back to the camp, you refresh yourself, enjoy an excellent dinner and end the eventful day relaxing under the canopy of stars.
African nights in nature are magical!
Day 2
We go on an early morning stalk very early, because the early hour is the time of the big cats. We return for breakfast, then check out and our route leads to the next destination, the Tsavo East National Park.
As soon as you enter the “Theater of the Wilderness”, Kenya shows its original side; the first game drive takes you through the middle of the national park to Ashnil Lodge.
Here you can fortify yourself with lunch, settle into your accommodation and spend the rest of your time relaxing until the afternoon game drive. From the terrace of your room you have a beautiful view of the Aruba Plain.
After the afternoon's certainly exciting game drive, you will return to the lodge for a lovely evening and celebrate the successful safari day with an excellent dinner.
Day 3
Once again we go on an early morning game and roam the area in search of a safari kick. A last hearty breakfast and we head back. You will take a break for lunch along the way, then continue to the coast to your accommodation.
Exciting safari in the western and eastern parts of the legendary Tsavo National Park!

We went on safari with James and were absolutely thrilled! James is the best tour guide you could imagine! Regina Eberle2025-04-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 11-day private safari in January. It was fantastic. Thank you so much for everything. Our wedding vows at Severin were a highlight. Our guide, Damiano, is fantastic. Best wishes to him. We'll definitely be back. You're fantastic. Lucif3er2025-03-11Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The safari was fantastic and extremely well organized. Our driver/guide was Katana. From the very first meter, you could tell how experienced he was. In addition to English, he also spoke German, which made the whole experience seem even more intimate. Katana was always careful to get us safely from A to B. He knew the various spots very well, separated himself from the other safari convoys, and offered us a unique experience with elephants, lions, hippos, and other beautiful animals. The highlight was the sunset, two grazing elephants, and an ice-cold glass of champagne from the tour operator. Moments like that stay with you. The Toyota Landcruiser also made a very nice impression. Overall, I highly recommend this tour operator. In the end, it's the little things that make the big difference. Johann Kleene2024-12-31Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Many thanks to the team. Our safari was top-notch. The tour vehicle is top-notch, the driver (Michael) is excellently trained, and we really enjoyed the accommodations. If you're going on safari, go with DM Tours 💪💪💪💪 Marvin Berghaus2024-12-28Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently went on a private safari with DM Tours. We specified the national parks (Tsavo East, Amboseli, Tsavo West) and accommodations in advance. This was all confirmed in advance. We liked the fact that the entrance fees were already included. There are operators where you have to pay for the entrance fees on site. On the day of departure, we were picked up on time by our great driver Rufus and set off for Tsavo East. There, after the first short safari on the way to the accommodation, we saw the first animals, such as lions. After lunch and a break of about two hours, we went for another round before dinner at the lodge and were able to go to bed. The next day we set off early for a short safari before breakfast. After that we had dinner and then headed to Amboseli. After some time there we arrived at the lodge and the same procedure as the day before. Lunch, a short break, and then another tour. The day concluded with dinner at the lodge. The following day, we went on safari again early, had breakfast, and then headed to Amboseli National Park. Once we arrived at the lodge, we had lunch, a short break, and then set off on the evening safari. There, we were treated to a bottle of sparkling wine as a surprise, which we enjoyed in peace against a stunning backdrop. We then finished the evening at the lodge and returned to the hotel the next morning. In summary: Our guide, Rufus, really had a plan for everything (he has over 2 years of experience as a guide). He was able to tell us a lot about the animals. At the lodges, he knew where we needed to go and how to proceed with check-in. He also kept us informed of our next steps. Many thanks to DM Tours & Safaris for the great experience! Travel_Love2024-12-18Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. They have nice office and can organize various types of trips. Prices are not the lowest. Melanie Braun2024-12-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We booked a three-day safari to Taita Hills and Tsavo East. The overnight stay at Salt Lick Lodge was particularly impressive and definitely an experience we'll remember for a long time. The entire organization, from pickup to transportation, accommodation, and food, was excellent. Unfortunately, we were there at a time when it was still very green, making it difficult to spot the animals, but our driver, Ismael, knew exactly where to take us and was very accommodating to our individual requests. We highly recommend booking through DM Tours. We would be happy to do it again anytime! Eva Strobel2024-12-11Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We booked a private safari in Tsavo East on December 03.12.24rd, 2, 1 days XNUMX night in the Ashnil Aruba Lodge with DM Tours. We were very satisfied. Everything was well organized and went really well. The lodge was very nice, the rooms were very clean and the food was excellent. We were also lucky enough to see a lot of animals. A very special thank you and many greetings to our very good guide Rufus. He explained a lot to us and showed us a lot. Many thanks also to Evi with whom we booked the tour. When we come back to Kenya, DM Tours will definitely be our first choice for a safari. Best wishes to the whole DM team from Eva and Josef
