Ashnil Aruba Lodge is located in the heart of Tsavo East National Park. It has 40 modern, comfortable deluxe guest rooms, 8 of which are particularly suitable for families thanks to their connecting doors. 6 additional spacious luxury tents (on request), a restaurant, a swimming pool, a souvenir shop and a viewing veranda make this lodge popular with Kenya fans.

Route

Day 1

You will be picked up from your hotel early in the morning and our guide will take you to the Tsavo park entrance either via the Shimba Hills or Mombasa. The Tsavo East adventure starts here!

Red earth, natural paths, bush savannah and the first wild animals give the impression of real Africa. The first game drive gives you the true safari feeling!

You will have lunch at Ashnil Aruba Lodge. Here you can sit down and rest during the hottest part of the day and you will be amazed by the spectacular view of the Aruba Plain. 

After tea time there is a second extended game drive through the national park in search of the animal inhabitants of the so-called “Theater of the Wilderness”.

You will explore the beauty of nature and its wildlife by jeep until dusk. Filled with exciting impressions, you can end the evening peacefully with dinner in your classic lodge.

After a cup of coffee/tea we set off for the early morning safari, the best time of the day to spot big cats! Afterwards, a rich breakfast awaits us. We pack our luggage and check out.

We roam the park again in search of wild animals, then it's time to say goodbye to nature.

After lunch, the tour takes you back to the coast via Mombasa to your hotel/holiday home, and your driver says goodbye to you in the late afternoon. Kwaheri! See you next time!

We had an excellent guide, Ismael, on our 3-day tour. We could stop whenever we wanted to take photos. A particular highlight was being able to observe lions up close on two days – what incredible luck! The lodges were fantastic, and the food and cleanliness were outstanding. From April 29th to 30th, 2026, we had the privilege of experiencing a truly magnificent safari in Tsavo East. James was a level-headed, experienced, and very pleasant driver and guide, and our interactions with him were a great pleasure. We booked our accommodation at Satao Camp and felt exceptionally pampered and well cared for. We were able to observe elephants, lions, zebras, baboons, jackals, giraffes, antelopes, ostriches, secretary birds, and many, many other magnificent animals up close and have gained the utmost respect for the beautiful flora and fauna of Kenya. My friend and I went on a 3-day safari with our guide, Ismael. We visited Taita Hills and Tsavo East National Parks and saw a huge amount of wildlife and stunning scenery. Ismael shared fascinating information about the animals and was incredibly enthusiastic. He even made extra drives so we could see a pride of lions! He was truly dedicated to giving us the best possible experience. We'll never forget this trip! The accommodations at Salt Lick and Sentrim Tsavo East were also more than satisfactory.
